Grilled Halibut Steak

Ingredients

~900 gr Halibut steak
100gr melted Seaweed Butter
3 French shallots finely chopped
1 lime zested and finely sliced
1 bag of spinach
Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Turn on the Barbecue to high heat.
  2. Place the halibut steak on a plate, add the lime zest, salt, pepper and melted seaweed butter (keep some for later), and mark on the grill 2 minutes on each side.
  3. Return the Halibut to the plate, garnish with the shallots and lime slices on top.
  4. Cook 15 to 20 minutes depending on the thickness in the closed Barbecue.
  5. Cook the spinach in the pan with the remaining seaweed butter and serve with Halibut.

Tips

The spinach can be replaced with fresh wakame that will be cooked in the same way.
If you do not have a BBQ, pan sear the Halibut and finish in the oven at 350F.
